The Filipino Southern Baptist Fellowship of North America (FSBFNA) has established a significant partnership with the Luzon Convention of Southern Baptist Churches (LCSBC) in the Philippines aimed at supporting new church planters. With the endorsement of the current leadership team of FSBFNA, Dr. Dan Santiago, the Executive Director, conducted a meeting with LCSBC’s Executive Director, Franklin Mariano, and the Home Mission Department Director, Dr. Alexander Arceno, in August 2024.

The two SBC entitites have come to an agreement to collaborate on supporting three church planters. As of this date, FSBFNA is actively supporting two church planters: Pastor Edwin Alvarez and Pastor Philip Shane Saludez. Pastor Edwin is in prayerful preparation to initiate a new church in Don Galo, Parañaque City, while Pastor Shane serves as a missionary to the Isaan people group in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

As of October 2024, FSBFNA has supported a total of four church planting initiatives. The first was Pastor Vic Dela Cruz in Mesquite, Texas, from 2021 to 2023. The second is Pastor Tim Eborda, serving in Chicago, Illinois, from November 2023 to November 2025. The third, Pastor Edwin, is focused on establishing a church in Don Galo, Parañaque, and the fourth, Pastor Shane, has commenced his mission in Khon Kaen, Thailand, both started in October 2024.

FSBFNA requests for your continous prayer and support as we come together and reach the world for Jesus Christ. We are still praying and waiting for the third church planter of FSFBNA-LCSBC. There’s still an unspeakable joy for this kingdom-focused partnership. To God be the glory!
